Who we are

All Keyboards (allkeyboard.com) is an independent project founded by Piyush, a software developer based in Rajkot, Gujarat, India. We build free typing tools for people who write in more than one language – students, teachers, office workers, job seekers preparing for typing exams, people living abroad and anyone learning a new script.

  • 52language keyboards
  • 39languages with voice typing
  • 49languages with image to text

Why we built it

Most computers and phones come with an English keyboard. Typing in Hindi, Gujarati, Arabic, Tamil or Korean usually means installing a keyboard, finding the right font and learning a new layout – and on a shared or office computer that is often not possible. We wanted one place where anyone can open a page and start typing in their own script straight away, for free, on any device.

What you can do here

Every language has the same set of tools:

  • Online keyboard – type with your own keyboard or the on-screen keys, using the language's standard layout.
  • Voice typing – speak and the browser writes your words in the right script (where the browser supports the language).
  • Translator – translate what you type into English and other languages.
  • Typing tutor – lessons key by key and timed speed tests with words per minute and accuracy.
  • Image to text – read printed text from a photo or scan (OCR), right in your browser.
  • Alphabet guide – every letter with pronunciation, examples and how letters join.

The languages are grouped as 22 indian languages, 15 asian languages, 13 european languages, 2 other languages. See them all on the home page.

How we build each keyboard

Each keyboard follows the standard layout people already use for that language – for example Inscript for Indian languages or AZERTY for French – so what you learn here also works on your own computer and phone. All text is standard Unicode, so it can be pasted into WhatsApp, Word, Google Docs or any website and still look right.

How we write and check the layouts, explanations, alphabets and practice text is described in our Editorial & Accuracy Policy. If you find a wrong character, please report it – we fix reported errors first.

Your text stays yours

What you type in the keyboard stays in your browser. We do not store it on our server and we never sell or share it. Some features send text to a service only when you use them – for example the translator sends your text to Google Translate. The Privacy Policy explains exactly what is sent where.

How the site is funded

All Keyboards is free to use. To pay for hosting and development we show advertising on some pages, through Google AdSense. Ads are never placed inside or touching the keyboard or the text box. Details about advertising cookies are in the Cookie Policy.
