About the Georgian Language

Georgian (ქართული) is a Kartvelian language – a small family of the South Caucasus not related to any other – and the official language of Georgia. It is written in its own Georgian script; the modern form, Mkhedruli, has 33 letters and, unusually, no capital letters. Georgian is famous for long clusters of consonants, as in გვფრცქვნი (gvprtskvni, "you peel us").
