What All Keyboards collects, why, who receives it and the choices you have. In short: what you type stays in your browser unless you use a feature that needs a service.

Last updated

Summary

  • Text you type in the keyboard stays in your browser. We do not store it, read it or sell it.
  • The translator, phonetic suggestions and voice typing send text or audio to Google (or your browser's speech service) only when you use them.
  • Image to text (OCR) runs in your browser – your images are not uploaded.
  • Typing tutor results are linked to a random ID, not to your name.
  • Messages you send through the contact form are stored so we can reply.
  • Ads and analytics use cookies; visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are asked for consent first.

Who is responsible

This website, allkeyboard.com (“All Keyboards”, “we”), is run by Piyush, Rajkot, Gujarat, India. For any privacy question or request, write to support@allkeyboard.com.

Text you type

The online keyboards, the on-screen keys, the character counter, copy, download and print all work inside your browser. The text is not sent to our server. When you move text from one tool to another (for example from the keyboard to the translator), it is passed through your browser's session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab.

Your browser may remember some settings, such as whether the on-screen keyboard is shown and the font size – see Cookies and local storage.

Features that send data

Some features need an outside service. They only send data when you use them:

  • Translator and the “Translate” button – the text you translate is sent from your browser to Google Translate.
  • Phonetic suggestions (typing a language in English letters) – the letters you type are sent to Google Input Tools to get word suggestions.
  • Voice typing – uses your browser's built-in speech recognition. In Google Chrome the audio is processed by Google, in Microsoft Edge by Microsoft. We never receive the audio.
  • Listen (text to speech) – uses the voices built into your browser or device.
  • Image to text – the image is read in your browser by Tesseract.js. The OCR program and language data are downloaded from a public content network the first time; your image stays on your device.
  • Share buttons – open WhatsApp, your email app or your device's share menu with the text you chose to share.

These services handle data under their own privacy policies, for example the Google Privacy Policy.

Typing tutor results

To show your progress and your last results, the typing tutor stores your lesson progress and test results – language, layout, speed (WPM), accuracy, errors and the date – on our server. They are linked to a random ID kept in the ak_tutor cookie, not to your name or email. If you delete the cookie, the link between your browser and those results is gone.

Contact form

When you send a message we receive your name, email address, the topic, your message and your IP address (used only against spam and abuse). The message is saved in our database and emailed to our support mailbox so we can answer you. We use it only to reply and to improve the site, and we do not add you to any mailing list.

Cookies and local storage

We use a few necessary cookies and browser storage entries to make the site work. Advertising and analytics cookies are described in the next section. The full list is in the Cookie Policy.

Advertising and analytics

The site is free because some pages show ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads and to measure them, based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalised ads at Google Ad Settings and learn more at How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

We may use Google Analytics to understand which tools and languages are used, with events such as “text copied” or “speed test finished” – never the text itself.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland see a consent message from Google's certified consent tool before advertising or analytics cookies are used, and can change their choice at any time with the “Privacy choices” link at the bottom of every page.

Depending on where you live – for example under the EU and UK GDPR or India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act – you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its use, and to withdraw consent. Write to support@allkeyboard.com and we will answer within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

We process data to run and secure the site (our legitimate interest), to answer your messages (at your request) and, for advertising and analytics cookies where the law requires it, with your consent.

Children

All Keyboards is a general typing and learning website and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

When we change how data is handled – for example when a new feature uses a new service – we update this page and the “Last updated” date at the top.
