How to convert KrutiDev to Unicode
- Copy your KrutiDev text from Word, PageMaker, a PDF or an old website. In a document, select it all with Ctrl+A and copy it.

- Copy the result and paste it where you need it. In Word, set the font to a Unicode font such as Mangal, Nirmala UI or Noto Sans Devanagari.
Why does my Hindi text show as English letters?
Text typed with KrutiDev, DevLys and similar fonts stores English letters and relies on the font to draw Hindi shapes. Without that font – on a phone, in an email or on another computer – you see the English letters instead. Unicode stores real Marathi letters, so it looks right everywhere.

In KrutiDev the vowel sign ि is typed before its letter (fd = कि) and the reph र् after its syllable (deZ = कर्म). The converter puts them in the right Unicode order for you.

What is KrutiDev?
KrutiDev (Kruti Dev 010) is an old Hindi font that draws Devanagari letters on the keys of an English keyboard. The text is really English letters, so it only looks right where the same font is installed – elsewhere it shows as random letters such as “Hkkjr” instead of “भारत”.
Why convert KrutiDev to Unicode?
Unicode Marathi text works everywhere – WhatsApp, websites, Google search, email, Word and phones – without a special font, and it can be searched, translated and read aloud. KrutiDev text cannot.
How do I convert Unicode back to KrutiDev?
Choose “Unicode → KrutiDev”, paste your Unicode text and copy the result into a document that uses the Kruti Dev 010 font – for example for an office or exam that still asks for KrutiDev.
Is my text uploaded?

Is the conversion always perfect?
Common text converts exactly, but some rare conjuncts were drawn in more than one way in KrutiDev. Check names and unusual words, and please report anything wrong so we can fix it.
